The RCGOBA 2000-2010 generously donated dry rations worth approximately 770,000 rupees to families severely impacted by the economic crisis of 2022. This community-driven initiative, fuelled by the collective contributions of our group members, aimed to alleviate the hardships faced by students and their families. Working in collaboration with the college Principal, detailed information on students and families in need was provided, facilitating the efficient distribution of these essential provisions. A heartfelt thank you extends to Mr. Saminda Paranagama, a dedicated member of the 2005 batch and proprietor of Pagoma Foodcity, for generously providing the necessary dry rations. Additionally, Mr. Sachith Gunawardhana, assistant secretary of the group, deserves recognition for offering tea parcels at concessional rates. We also acknowledge the invaluable support of Mr. Samith Gallage, president of the Richmond College sports committee, and Mr. Chinthaka Mihiruk, the secretary, for their commendable coordination efforts in executing this meaningful program.
